Setting a Positive Morning Routine

I often have a hard time waking up for my classes in the morning because I don’t want to leave the comfort of my bed and go to my early classes on Zoom. Here are some things that help me get up in the morning:

1. Manifestation & Gratitude The first thing that I try to do when I first wake up is to think about what I am grateful for in my life, such as my health, family and friends, education, etc. Also, manifesting into your day that you will be productive or happy today is a practice that I think helps start the day off right.

2. Positive Affirmations I have a little pun calendar that has different puns each day, and I always look forward to changing it. I also have a positive affirmation on my lock screen that says I can do the thing. I think having some positive words of affirmation helps motivate me to have a positive mindset.

3. Listening to a Podcast or Music This is a way to boost my serotonin in the morning. Playing my thriving playlist always puts me in a good mood. There are some mornings I feel like listening to my favorite lifestyle podcast, Gals on the Go podcast.

4. Making a Breakfast This is the thing that I look forward to the most. I always look forward to setting aside time to make myself an iced coffee and an avocado toast in the morning. Treat yourself and energize yourself before your zoom call.
